Dominant. It takes a special man for me to submit to.

Twosday: One True Love, or more affairs than you can remember?

I don't suppose this will come a surprise to those who know me, even a little bit, but I'm not a big believer in True Love. As an avid people watcher, I can't say I've ever seen it, either. Certainly I've watched some very affectionate couples, who only appear to have eyes for each other, but I've also witnessed more arguments than I can count and some very blatantly violent behaviour.

Naturally, it doesn't help that my job is dealing with people - men for the most part, but we don't discriminate, trust me - who have hurt those they supposedly love. Usually their spouse. And it happens far more often than I'd like. But even without that extreme, I've seen what belief in an ideal can do to someone, especially when they can't have it.

True Love is a fairytale trope for a reason. I prefer to live in the real world, where I can be with whomever I want, whenever I want, for as long as I want, without worrying about whether or not they're "the one". The only "one" I need is myself. And if you ever hear me say anything different? Shoot me.
